What Is Keap Max, And Is It Worth It?

The Keap product line, consisting of Keap Grow, Keap Pro, and Infusionsoft (now known as Keap Max Classic), is a group of powerful all-in-one Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and marketing/sales automation services designed to help businesses grow.

You may be asking, “How come I don’t see Keap Max on that list?” which is a little more complicated of a question than it first appears.

Contrary to what other business blogs say, the addition of Keap Max to their product line isn’t merely a branding change.

The Keap products were designed to provide a simple user experience for businesses that don’t require all of the bells and whistles of their Infusionsoft product.

Keap Mac classic (formerly Infusionsoft) is a very powerful CRM tool, and can provide a TON of benefits, but it’s a bit much for some business owners. Some businesses just don’t require every option under the sun in order to thrive.

This is where the rest of the Keap product line, particularly Keap Max fits into the picture.

The goal of Keap Max is to combine the ease-of-use of their Keap products with the high-end usefulness of Infusionsoft, without forcing existing Infusionsoft users (like my clients and me) to adopt a whole new product.

Is Keap Max Worth It

Whether you choose to use Keap Grow, Keap Pro, Keap Max, or Keap Max Classic/Infusionsoft will depend on your needs.
Here’s a quick rundown of the different features of each of these products to help you decide which tier of their service is right for you:

Keap Grow

  • Client management(CRM)
  • Email marketing
  • Business phone line and text messaging
  • Appointments
  • Quotes, invoices, and payments
  • Easy automations

Keap Pro

Everything in Keap Grow plus:

  • Marketing and sales automation
  • Recurring payments
  • Landing page builder
  • Smart forms and reports
  • Advanced sales and marketing automation

Keap Max

For new customers who are looking for an easy-to-use CRM to automate marketing and workflow, or existing Keap users who need more utility, Keap Max is definitely worth considering. For customers who are already using Infusionsoft, you may want to stick to using Infusionsoft (now named Keap Max Classic), and I’ll go over why later in this article.

The most significant selling points of Keap Max over other Keap products are:

  1. Integrated checkout forms
  2. Automatic lead scoring
  3. User analytics (currently in beta)
  4. Additional custom fields

The ability to easily integrate checkout forms, analyze user data with analytics, easily identify how “hot” leads are, and collect custom data sets is easily worth a small additional monthly fee; and you’ll still have access to all the other features from Keap Grow and Keap Pro.

Infusionsoft (now named Keap Max Classic)

To make their branding consistent, Infusionsoft will receive a name change to Keap Max Classic, but all that’s changing for existing Infusionsoft users is a name and logo change.

If you’re not an Infusionsoft user currently, here are some of the features of Infusionsoft for businesses that require more customizability and options than the Keap product line provide:

  • Client management(CRM)
  • Advanced marketing and sales automation
  • Lead scoring and company records
  • Advanced reporting, analytics, and eCommerce
  • Highly customizable campaigns

When Did Infusionsoft Become Keap?

At the beginning of 2019 Infusionsoft was rebranded as Keap. As mentioned earlier in this article, the whole purpose was to make everything more simple and approachable, and the Infusionsoft team apparently decided that they also wanted the name to be more simple.

Should I Switch From Infusionsoft To Keap Max

Generally speaking, if you’re already successfully implementing Infusionsoft as your CRM, and you’re happy with it, there’s no reason to switch to Keap Max.

You know what they say … “If it’s not broken, don’t fix it.”

As a matter-of-fact, Keap Max is missing a few features that Infusionsoft has, like:

  • My day
  • Opportunity records
  • Affiliate referral tracking
  • Shopping cart
  • Niche campaign goals and sequence tracking

In addition to missing out on a few features, you may have to re-enter certain types of data, a list of which can be found here

With that being said, there ARE a few unique features that Keap Max has, which Infusionsoft doesn’t currently provide.

These features are:

  • Appointments
  • Keap Mobile App
  • Dedicated business line
  • SMS messaging
  • Easy Automations
  • Calendar sync (Google / Outlook)
  • Checkout forms
  • Google reviews

So whether or not you switch to Keap Max from Infusionsoft is up to you, but I won’t be. I will be strongly encouraging my clients to keep using Infusionsoft since they are already operational. It’s not worth risking their bottom-line by making unnecessary changes to systems that are already optimized.

If you feel like you need the power of Infusionsoft to grow your business but feel a bit overwhelmed by it, feel free to schedule a Creative Solutions call with me, and we can come up with a plan to get you up and running quickly so you can do what you do best.

Thank you, I hope this article helps you decide if Keap is the right product for you, have a great day, and good luck!
